A bend in your penis can cause all manner of problems, from embarrassment, to pain during sex, to low self-esteem and even depression. But what are the causes of a curved cock, and more importantly, what can you do about it?
As in all situations where you need to perform, confidence is the key to a good sex life. Even the ugliest guy can find himself a beautiful woman if he has enough belief in himself (plus maybe lots of money or a big dick, or both).
That’s why things like penis size really are important – not just during sex itself, but in giving a man enough confidence to approach a girl and then perform well when the time comes.
Men who suffer from a curvature in their dicks often lack this confidence. They become self-conscious about what women, and even the other guys in the locker room, might think. Bent penises also appear shorter than straight ones, as well as causing pain and discomfort during sex.
Plaque that toothpaste won’t shift
There are many known causes of a curved penis. The one most commonly mentioned in penis enlargement literature is Peyronie’s disease, which produces a bend in the shaft as well as retraction of the penis itself back into the body.
Peyronie’s is basically a build-up of plaque on the shaft, usually on the top side of the penis. This plaque builds up over time and in the worst cases, the pain during an erection become so intense that sex becomes impossible. Peyronie’s is said to affect around one in every 100 men – hardly a rare condition.
The cause of Peyronie’s disease is unknown, but many doctors believe that it begins with an injury to the penis. This is unproven, but injury alone can certainly cause a permanent bend in the penis.
Severe discomfort
Another cause of misshapen members is ?urethral stricture’. Sufferers of this condition experience a narrowing of their urethra (the pipe that you pee out of), again resulting in severe discomfort and bending on the penis.
Less common is ?Hypospadias’, a hereditary condition that causes the urinary opening to grow in the wrong place. The penis develops abnormally so that instead of being on the tip of the penis, sufferers’ pee-holes grow elsewhere on the head. Aiming when standing up must be difficult! Again this leads to a bend in the shaft, plus other complications.
Going Straight
If you believe you are suffering from one of these conditions, you should consult your doctor as soon as possible. In advanced cases of Peyronie’s disease, when the penis has become so deformed that sex is no longer possible, surgery may be necessary.
But of course this is always the last resort. Another solution is also available for sufferers of Peyronie’s and all other types of penis curvature. Recent studies have found that penis stretching, as used in modern traction-based penis extenders, is highly effective in straightening the curve and restoring the length of misshapen shafts.
So don’t let this common and treatable problem ruin your sex life – put an end to the bend.
